The best alcohol-free Cabernet Sauvignon in the UK
Updated monthly · October 2026
Cabernet Sauvignon is a natural cross between Cabernet Franc and Sauvignon Blanc. It inherited thick skins from one parent and a green, herbal edge from the other. The result is a red with blackcurrant, firm tannins and plenty of attitude.
Removing alcohol takes away some body, so the best bottles rely on ripe fruit and well-handled tannin to hold their shape. Lighter ones lean towards cassis and cherry. Others bring pepper, cedar or a leafy note from less ripe grapes. Sugar varies, so check each wine page if you want a drier style.
Serve it at around 15°C. The old rule about room temperature was written for cooler houses than most British living rooms, so give the bottle 30 minutes in the fridge first.
Pair it with steak, lamb chops, burgers, mushroom wellington and mature cheddar.
