Grapes come from selected sites in the Western Cape where a maritime climate with cooling winds from the Atlantic prevails. The soils often show sandy structures with components of slate and granite.

The estate relies on gentle methods such as vacuum evaporation or reverse osmosis. Due to the low pressure, the boiling point of the alcohol decreases. The alcohol evaporates, while the delicate aromas are largely preserved. Modern membrane technology ensures a separation of alcohol and aromatic components without harsh interventions in the flavor profile.
