An alcohol-free Riesling from Weingut Lobner in Mannersdorf an der March, made in a Spätlese style with lees ageing to preserve grape-typical character. It offers tropical fruit, citrus, and lively acidity in a smooth, off-dry style with around 31 g/l residual sugar.
Vineyard
Vineyards located in Mannersdorf an der March, northeastern Austria, near the border with Slovakia. Soils are loess, which provides finesse and good water retention. Vine age ranges from 8 to 45 years. Grapes are hand-harvested in the second half of September over approximately 4 weeks, followed by an additional selection at the winery.
Dealcoholisation detail
The wine is first made as a full wine with grape-typical tension, lees ageing, and a Spätlese-style base to build sufficient aromatic depth before dealcoholisation. The final product contains approximately 0.3–0.38% alcohol.
